Hildale, UT Young Adults - October 2027

The Dream Center in Short Creek is a 40-bed residential life skills program and community engagement social services program that exists to equip, overcome and restore hope through education, ending hunger and empowering the communities surrounding Colorado City, Arizona.

Your team will take a 15 passenger vans leaving from a CCV Campus (specific campus TBD) and travel to Hildale, UT to stay at the Missions House located on the property of the Short Creek Dream Center. This is about a 6-hour drive.

Basic Information:

*This Trip is for Young Adults between the ages of 18-28 years old.*

What is the cost?  $295.00   

$50 deposit will be charged at time of registration and remaining balance will be adjusted to reflect the total amount due. Final balance is due 1 month prior.

Tentative Schedule:

Friday: Depart from a CCV Campus at 7:00am on Friday morning. We will plan to stop in Flagstaff for an early lunch, please bring some cash to cover lunch expense. 

Saturday: Work/Serve day in the community

Sunday: Service at Water Canyon Trailhead- please make sure you bring steady shoes for hiking, sunscreen, and hat. A sack lunch will be provided. Service projects in the afternoon.

Monday: Arrive back to a CCV Campus between 4:00pm-5:00pm. We will plan to stop in Flagstaff for lunch, please bring some cash to cover lunch expense.

The weather will be warm during the day and cool in the evenings side with the high in the 80's and low in the 50's. Please plan to bring a closed toe shoes and jeans and t-shirt/sweatshirt you can get dirty for a workday. You will likely need light jacket for evenings and plan to dress in layers.

Please bring a towel to use for showering. Some bedding will be provided, your trip leader will give further instruction prior to trip on specific items needed for bedding.

Requirements:

• Attend all pre-trip preparation meetings as set and determined by your trip leader.
• Complete background screening by September 1, 2027
