Guatemala - May 2027

CCV is excited to join the team at ENLACE with development work in Guatemala.

We will work alongside a church that is already engaged in transforming its community. Trip participants from the U.S. participate in order to learn from the church members who host them as they become experts in sustainably transforming their community. Both visitors and hosts enjoy one another in Christian fellowship as we participate together in God’s work redeeming and restoring the world. The specific project and community have not yet been identified.  We will be working on a "homestead" project which could include building a home, composting latrines or an improved cook stove.  We will be working alongside the local church and community leaders who are actively managing these initiatives as well as the families who will be impacted by the project we will participate in.   We will know what type of project we will be doing 60 days prior to our trip.

Who can go?

Anyone 18 years or older, or 14-17 and accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. This team will be a mixed set of skills and strengths to help where needed.

Team Meetings:  The team will gather for team meetings to do logistical and project prep but also training on cross-cultural ministry and spiritual prep.  Times and Locations will be communicated by the team leader.

Requirements: Each participant who signs up will be asked to

• Attend CCV's Starting Point class (if you haven't already been)
• Complete a CCV Missions background check.
• Each team member will be required to attend all pre-trip preparation meetings.
• Participants should be physically fit, there will be long days of being on your feet and a lot of walking. 

Trip Cost: $2000 per person

• Included in this fee: Round trip Airfare from Phoenix to Guatemala and meals while in country. This also cover medical insurance, luggage fees, and pre-trip
• Not Included:  Passport fees, any shots you elect to get, and any personal spending money for meals during travel, and souvenirs.
• Travel: If a cancellation is made after airline tickets have been purchased you will be responsible for the cost of the ticket.

Final Balance is due 2 weeks prior to trip departure.
