What an amazing adventure! I worked in the kitchen with the Hungarian chef, his full time American assistant, and 6 more US mission partners tasked with preparing daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner for staff, professors, and students in attendance at TCMI Haus Edelweiss. It was long hours and hard work, but an amazing experience!
Hearing the stories from people living in lands where it is difficult to be a Christian was such an encouragement to me! Listening to prayers and songs in their native language was beautiful! I could hear their love and passion for Christ in their voices even though I did not understand their words.
Please pray for TCM professors as they train these Christian leaders in so many countries throughout Eastern and Western Europe and beyond. Please pray for the students who are bravely taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ into hostile territory in their home countries and families.
The accommodations are comfortable, the food is great and plentiful, and Haus Edelweiss is a beautiful place to explore. Be disciplined in reading God’s Word. Time is short and it is easy to move on to work. You will need His strength and not your own. Bring bug spray and long pants.
