Nicaragua - August 2025

While Convoy of Hope continued to aid Nicaragua during the aftermath of storms and droughts in the country, their Children's Feeding program began in 2006.  Since then, through providing nutritional food for children, helping women through empowerment programs, assisting farmers and much more, they have shared hope with the people of the region.  

Nicaragua is the second poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, but the people have made significan strides. Team CCV will have the opportunity to come alongside local leaders to help resource them as they serve children. Through projects such as building kitchens, dining areas or playgrounds, and engaging with children in partnership with local churches, teams impact the region. We will also have the opportunity to learn more about the culture while visiting some of the beautiful locations in the area.

Our CCV Team will come alongside their staff at program locations and tackle some type of construction, or agriculture project with opportunities to interact with children. We will find out 60 days prior to our trip what specific projects we will be involved with.

Who can go:

• Participants must be at least 18 years old and can travel alone, and in good physical health

What are the requirements:

• Attend CCV's Starting Point class (if you haven't already)
• Complete a CCV Missions background check.
• Each team member will be required to attend all pre-trip preparation meetings. Times and Location TBD. Your trip leader will set all dates and times and will communicate with you

Trip Cost: $2000

• Included in this fee:  Round trip Airfare from Phoenix to Nicaragua accommodations, transportation and meals while in country. This fee also covers medical insurance, luggage fees, and pre-trip materials.
• Not included: Passport fees, any shots you elect to get, and any personal spending money for meals during travel and souvenirs.

Payment Schedule:

• $200 deposit per person is non-refundable at the time of registration.
• Final balance is due by August 1, 2025. If a cancellation is made after airline tickets have been purchased you will be responsible for the cost of the ticket.
• FUNDRAISING INFORMATION:  We absolutely encourage fundraising. Very few people pay for the trip on their own. More information will be provide for you.
