CCV is excited to partner with Convoy of Hope to serve in Moldova.

The country of Moldova is located in Eastern Europe between Romania and Ukraine. A former Soviet republic, Moldova gained its independence in 1991 with the dissolution of the Soviet Union. The official language of Moldova is Romanian. Moldova’s economy is the poorest in Europe and relies heavily on agriculture. Many grandparents are raising their grandchildren as the middle generation seek employment opportunities outside the country.

Convoy of Hope has been involved in many communities over the years. Through Children’s Feeding, Agriculture, and Women’s Empowerment programs, communities in Moldova are being transformed through the local church. This team will have the opportunity to work closely with local churches to meet needs unique to their community such as updating kitchens, helping with water access, sanitation and hygiene, agricultural programs, or building playgrounds for children in the communities.

This team will partner with the local church to build the capacity of programs in their community. Building projects such as kitchen remodelling, toilet or outhouse construction, agriculture related buildings such as fences and greenhouses, or the construction of a playground for the children in the community will be available. There will also be plenty of opportunity to interact with children and young people, serve the local people, and build relationships with the local church. There will be lots of activity available for every team member, regardless of skill level.

Specific project details and location will be finalised closer to the trip, so flexibility and a willingness to serve wherever needed are essential. Whether you’re helping with meals, supporting construction, or simply connecting with people, your presence will make a tangible difference.

Who can go:

• Participants must be at least 18 years old and can travel alone, and be in good physical health

What are the requirements:

• Attend CCV's Starting Point class (if you haven't already)
• Passport, must be valid for 6 months prior to return date, December 1, 2027
• Complete a CCV Missions background check.
• Complete Convoy of Hope registration 
• Each team member will be required to attend all pre-trip preparation meetings. Times and Location TBD. Your trip leader will set all dates and times and will communicate with you.

Trip Cost: $2200.00

• Included in this fee: Round-trip Airfare from Phoenix to Moldova, accommodations, transportation, and meals while in country. This fee also covers medical insurance, and pre-trip materials.
• If a cancellation is made after airline tickets have been purchased, you will be responsible for the cost of the ticket.
• Not included: Passport fees, luggage fee if applicable, any shots you elect to get, meals on travel days and any personal spending money, and souvenirs.

Payment Schedule:

• $220 deposit per person is non-refundable at the time of registration.
• Final balance is due by April 28, 2027
• FUNDRAISING INFORMATION:  We absolutely encourage fundraising. Very few people pay for the trip on their own. Once registered, you will be provided with a personal fundraising page to help with the fundraising process.
