GoTEN - January 21, 2026
There are thousands of legally resettled refugees that have moved to our city. They need help learning English, navigating our systems, and adapting to our culture, but what they really want is an American friend. GoTEN serves as a bridge between newly arriving refugees and Christians who want to be hospitable and serve marginalized people. We do this through creating Life Skills Centers in refugee neighborhoods and inviting volunteers from local churches to help our new neighbors learn English, get jobs, and experience Christian community.
In the FirstServe experience, you will learn what's at the heart of GoTEN - recognizing that God controls the movements of all people. He has brought peoples from across the globe into our city, and with that, we see a unique & divine opportunity. We reach out to these unreached peoples by serving them, loving them, and speaking Truth. Let us show you what ministry to the unreached looks like as you learn and serve by sitting next to a legally resettled refugee in an ESL class setting.
